KB Home (NYSE: KBH) today announced the grand opening of Terrain, its latest collection of new homes situated in a popular master-planned community near downtown Castle Rock, Colorado.
The KB homes offered at Terrain will feature desirable ranch-style paired home designs, further diversifying KB Home’s product offerings to accommodate home buyers with a variety of needs.
At Terrain, KB Home will construct 120 new ranch-style paired homes in six new floor plans. With up to four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths, and ranging in size from approximately 1,400 to 1,700 square feet, the homes at Terrain allow for single-story living and desirable design characteristics like spacious great rooms, ample storage space, finished basement options and covered patios. Pricing begins from the $360,000s.
Residents at Terrain can enjoy resort-style community amenities, which include a clubhouse, pool, playground, picnic pavilion and tennis courts. Canine residents can run and play at Dog Bone Park. Nearly half of the land in the Terrain master plan is reserved for parks, open space and preservation, and a network of interconnected trails increases walkability while offering wildlife observation areas. Castlewood Canyon State Park is also accessible by trail from the community and nearby Castle Rock offers ample shopping, dining and entertainment. School-age children may attend Douglas County Schools.
“Terrain offers a compelling mix of natural surroundings and access to urban conveniences and amenities,” said Randy Carpenter, president of KB Home’s Colorado division. “Additionally, these ranch-style paired homes represent an unusual home buying opportunity, appealing to buyers in a variety of circumstances, from first-time and move-down buyers to buyers simply seeking a low-maintenance lifestyle.”
KB Home will host a grand opening celebration at Terrain, Saturday–Sunday, Feb. 23–24, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., during which attendees may tour the two model homes. Refreshments will be provided, 1–4 p.m., both days.
The KB homes at Terrain will be built to current ENERGY STAR® certification guidelines and include WaterSense® labeled faucets and fixtures, meaning they are designed to be more energy and water efficient than most typical new and resale homes available in the area. These energy- and water-saving features are estimated to save home buyers between $624 and $756 a year in utility costs, depending on floor plan.
