KB Home has announced its expansion into Idaho. The national builder now owns or controls over 1,100 homesites across three planned new-home communities in the Boise market and is moving to acquire additional land in the area.

In spring 2022, KB Home will open its first new-home community, Graycliff, in South Meridian, a popular Boise suburb, with the first home deliveries expected in late 2022.

The company also has named Thomas Coleman as the company’s Idaho division president. Coleman joins KB Home with more than a decade of experience in the Idaho home building market, both as a residential real estate developer and in leadership roles in land acquisition and business operations. As Idaho division president, Coleman is responsible for KB Home’s operations throughout the region, from land acquisition and construction to sales and customer service.

“We see long-term growth opportunities in the Idaho region, and our customer-centric business model, which focuses on personalization, will certainly differentiate us from other home builders,” says Brian Kunec, regional general manager of KB Home’s Las Vegas, Seattle, and Idaho divisions. “Thomas’ extensive experience and knowledge will help us meet the housing needs of that market. We look forward to his many contributions in the years ahead.”

KB Home is the latest national builder to enter the expanding market, following Lennar’s recent announcement in October and Toll Brothers' early entrance in November 2016.
