While much of the nation's new home stock saw a tailoff in sales orders this fall and winter, the developer of the Mason City Schools community, Kensington, in Deerfield Township, Ohio says it ended the year with 21 homes sold.
The community opened for sale in the summer of 2018. J&K Custom Homes, one of the preferred builders in Kensington, had the highest priced home sale of $1.42 million in the Estate section of the community.
“We are thrilled that Kensington is seeing such great demand with 21 homes already sold, especially in a short time span,” said Greg Berling, Co-Developer of Kensington. “We continue to see strong traffic as the community officially takes shape with homes and amenities reaching completion. We are eager for 2019 and anticipate continued success.”
The $100 million development features three home collections. The Estate homes showcase custom designs on half to one-acre home sites, starting from the $750’s to the $1.5 million+. The featured builders are Classic Living Homes, J&K Custom Homes, Robert Lucke Homes, WP Land Company, and the most recent addition, Justin Doyle Homes. Fischer Homes is the featured builder of the Executive and Lifestyle homes collections with prices starting from the mid $400’s to the $800’s+.
Kensington is located off Fields Ertel Road and minutes from I-71 outside Cincinnati. The private entrance for the development has been completed and reflects its English influence. Kensington will open an amenity center in summer 2019 including a cabana, swimming pool, outdoor fireplace, yard games, walking trails, and 23 acres of green space.
Kensington is also home to 2019 Homearama, which will be held June 8 - June 23. All Kensington builders will be featured in the show in addition to two other Cincinnati builders for a total of 10 show homes.
