Taylor Morrison Homes Corp. (NYSETMHC) has broken ground on its 18-hole golf course at its newest community, Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch, coming soon to Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
To celebrate the groundbreaking, a ceremony was held which was attended by Taylor Morrison’s Southwest Florida division leadership team as well as members from Pope Properties, Waldrop Engineering, and Ryangolf. Other attendees included golf course designer, Chris Wilczynski; Commissioner, Vanessa Baugh; and Senior Vice President of Lakewood Ranch Communities, Laura Cole.
Designed by award-winning architect and veteran course designer Chris Wilczynski, ASGCA, in conjunction with Ryangolf Corporation, the 18-hole golf course is expected to be completed in late first quarter/early second quarter of 2020.
The golf course is planned to feature stunning views and tee locations for all players to make it both friendly and challenging. Each fairway will be unique while being fun, playable, and aesthetically beautiful. The course will have six sets of tees and play from 6,900 to 3,600 yards.
“We are excited to work with Chris again as he understands the vision of our Esplanade brand and helps us develop a golf course that complements its signature lifestyle,” said Cammie Longenecker, division president of Taylor Morrison Southwest Florida. “At Esplanade, we offer more than beautiful homes. We offer a lifestyle matched with resort amenities that allow our homeowners to stay active and relaxed. We are thrilled for this new community.”
“It’s always a pleasure to be working with Taylor Morrison, and I am excited about this course,” said Chris Wilczynski, ASGCA. “We are working really hard to design and construct 18 different holes and greens. The detailed planning process and hands on approach during construction allow us to create this. One of our main goals is to create a course that will be enjoyed by players with a range of golf abilities from beginners to experts.”
Home buyers at Esplanade at Azario Lakewood Ranch will have access to the planned, private 18-hole golf course in addition to planned resort amenities that include a wellness center, culinary center, resort-style pool, Bahama bar, sports courts, state-of-the-art fitness center, fire pits, and a full-time lifestyle manager located on-site to plan special events, parties, and much more.
In addition to the Esplanade neighborhood, the Azario Lakewood Ranch community will also feature Park East at Azario, a single-family home neighborhood with dedicated planned amenities.
Residents of Azario Lakewood Ranch will have quick access to employment corridors in Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota, and Bradenton. Azario Lakewood Ranch is located in the Manatee County School District.
