Located on Northwest Florida’s Emerald Coast, Minto Communities USA and The St. Joe Co. have announced that Latitude Margaritaville Watersound’s active-adult community sold its 1,000th home in December. Currently, there are nearly 400 homes completed with almost 700 at various stages of design or construction. The initial phase is expected to include approximately 3,500 homes.
“Reaching the 1,000th sale milestone is a great moment for this community,” says Jorge Gonzalez, president and CEO of St. Joe. “The immense demand for new homes in the Latitude Margaritaville Watersound community speaks not only to the quality of the homes and abundance of amenities that residents can enjoy, but also to the appeal of the quality of life in Northwest Florida. More home buyers from more parts of the country are discovering this region, and the 1,000th home sale in the Latitude Margaritaville Watersound community is evidence of that.”
With 13 model homes open daily, home buyers can choose from four distinct single-family home collections ranging from 1,204 to 2,568 square feet. This spring, the development will celebrate the grand opening of the Latitude Margaritaville Watersound Town Center that will offer resort-style amenities.
Its town square will offer a multi-tiered amphitheater, full-size concert stage, a thatched roof band shell,a jumbo screen for concerts or movies, and an area designed for dancing. Other amenities will include a two-story Bar & Chill restaurant; Overlook Bar with views of the Intracoastal Waterway; Changes in Attitude Bar with views of a lagoon-style pool; a fitness center; tennis and pickleball courts; and a dog park.
St. Joe also has plans to develop a full-service public marina and commercial village adjacent to the community. There are also plans for a health care campus nearby, where construction has already begun on the first medical office building.
