Taylor Morrison has opened a new, expanded design studio in uptown Charlotte.
The 4,200-square foot space at The Foundry on South Cedar Street is where home buyers work with professional design consultants to personalize their new homes, selecting options and upgrades that provide a custom finish. Home buyers can choose from a wide selection of flooring options, paint colors, countertops, cabinet styles, fixtures, appliances, finish carpentry, and more.
Taylor Morrison’s design studio was formerly located alongside its Charlotte office on West Morehead Street. The company plans to convert the space into additional offices in order to accommodate growth at the Charlotte division.
The seventh largest home builder in the country, Taylor Morrison entered the Charlotte market when it acquired the operations and home building assets of Orleans Homes in 2015. At the time of the acquisition, Orleans had eight Charlotte-area communities. Since then, Taylor Morrison has grown to 14 communities in the Charlotte region, including four currently in development, and 60 local employees.
“Our new uptown design studio will enhance the personalized home buying experience for Taylor Morrison customers in the Charlotte region,” said Kevin Granelli, Charlotte division president for Taylor Morrison. “The relocation of the studio also provides needed office space for our team as we continue to grow our business and open new communities.”
