“Because life is extremely complicated and your day-today is very stressful, in architecture it is important to have simplicity.” So says Los Angeles architect Zoltan Pali, who offers this master bath as an example of how a room can cause one to slow down and take a deep breath. The first ingredient is a restrained and ordered geometry. An etched-glass pocket door opens at the centerline of the plan. To the left, an etched-glass partition encloses a bath-and-bidet compartment. To the right stand a frameless glass shower enclosure and a sunken infinity-edge tub. Directly ahead is a double-depth vanity cabinet with back-to-back sinks and a lighted mirror suspended from the ceiling.
