Resolution: 4 Architecture’s Lido Beach House II in Lido Beach, New York, features bleached cedar siding, white windows, and ipe decking to achieve a relaxed beach vibe.

Modular construction allowed for an accelerated timeline for the project: Four 16-foot-wide modules were stacked atop the raised concrete foundation in a single day, complete with doors, windows, roofing, tile, cabinetry, fixtures, and sheathing.

Interior stairs lead to the living spaces on the second floor, which rise over the sand dunes to provide unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean. The home features a private deck off the kitchen, a deck off the dining area, and an oculus in the roof that allows ample daylight. A partially site-built office off the living space cantilevers from the back façade with views to the beach.
