In response to the in-person training challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, LP Building Solutions is providing expanded online training resources for LP SmartSide remodeling professionals, including virtual LP SmartSide Trim & Siding installation training events.
The manufacturer has transitioned from in-person LP SmartSide installation training events, hosted across the country, to virtual training events hosted by The Kruse Brothers. In order to ensure the same learning outcomes in this environment, LP is soliciting and incorporating extensive user feedback, as well as offering sessions localized by geographic regions.
Beyond the virtual traning sessions, resources available to contractors include the Preferred Contractor Program, which is designed to provide contractors that use LP SmartSide products in their projects with cash rebates, product training, marketing support, and lead generation services.
“LP’s team of professional installation contractors provide personalized training to every LP BuildSmart member, covering topics such as LP SmartSide Trim & Siding product installations, selling tips, and more,” says Clint Hulsing, R&R territory sales manager–West for LP Building Solutions. “Not only are these valuable resources for current professionals (especially as we continue to introduce new products), but this training is vitally important as we educate the next generation on proper installation techniques to ensure safe, efficient jobsites.”
So far, the virtual programs have not only met contractor demands, but also allow for greater attendance numbers and a more efficient training process, according to Lane Williams, associate segment marketing manager at LP Building Solutions.
“The virtual LP SmartSide Trim & Siding installation training events have proven to be valuable for contractors as the industry evolves and more people are open to online training and digital communication resources,” Williams says. “Moving forward, we’ll continue to offer our training events both online and in-person to satisfy the diverse needs of contractors to cater to the learning medium they prefer. Virtual is the way of the future, and it’s important to be on the forefront of this with our online training events.”
