Boxabl

Last fall, Boxabl co-founder Galiano Tiramani shared his frustration of regulations and code setbacks that kept their foldable and shippable homes from reaching the masses.

Kicking off 2025 at a different pace, this year has brought some good news to Boxabl as they have gained official approval of their flagship product, the Casita, under the residential building code in Nevada, where the company’s three factories operate.

"We are proud to bring the Casita to Nevada," says Paolo Tiramani, CEO of Boxabl. "This approval not only reflects the hard work of our team but also solidifies our ability to provide Nevadans with a revolutionary housing option that is affordable, fast to deploy, and built to last."

The Nevada thumbs up follows Boxabl’s recent approval to sell Casitas across the entire state of California, inclusive of all climate zones. Because California is one of the largest markets for accessory dwelling units (ADUs), this approval was a huge stride for the company and for the state as it has been ravaged by wildfires.

For the many residents who have been left in urgent need of safe and affordable housing, Boxabl hopes to be a solution by providing its 361-square-foot Casitas to help families rebuild their lives. A commitment that highlights the company's dedication to making a positive impact during times of crisis.
