Hanley Wood, the premier information, media, event, and strategic marketing services company serving the residential, commercial design and construction industries, has announced that Katie Gerfen has been promoted to serve as Editor of four prominent media brands: ARCHITECT, BUILDER, CUSTOM HOME, and Residential Architect. Gerfen will manage the team responsible for creating and aggregating all residential design related content across the network of Hanley wood digital properties, and will provide leadership on the integration of design-focused content.

Gerfen’s new role will be to join Cramer and John McManus, Editorial Director for Hanley Wood’s Residential Construction Group, in setting the strategy and direction for residential design coverage, content, and programming. She and her team will develop and radiate content across Hanley Wood’s titles, where audiences and enthusiasts of residential design content will find it.
