The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) will officially relaunch the REGREEN program website at the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, convening in Phoenix Nov. 11-13, 2009. The REGREEN Residential Remodeling Guidelines, created through a partnership between ASID and USGBC, steer remodelers, designers, and homeowners through green home renovation, addressing every aspect of a project that may contribute to a more sustainable outcome.
The improved site, already live, boasts a more sophisticated design and access to several online educational resources, including four webinars, four online continuing education courses for professionals to earn continuing education units (CEUs), and information about a two-day workshop led by USGBC faculty that will debut at Greenbuild Nov. 10 and 11, and thereafter be available at various future events.
Also through the refreshed regreenprogram.org, professionals can learn about the requirements of the new REGREEN certificate program. Those who earn the REGREEN Trained certificate will be designated as having been schooled in product selection, building systems integration, and green strategies for green renovations and retrofits that improve home performance and indoor air quality, are beneficial to the environment, and save homeowners money.
