AGC to Hold Annual Contractor Conference

A best practices agenda pushes lean construction tactics

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) will host its annual Building Contractors Conference Sept. 11 to 15 in Charleston, S.C. The conference will focus on best practices for firm owners, designers, and contractors, offering tactics for marketing on a tight budget, building faster without increasing costs, using building information modeling technology as a small or midsize contractor, and gaining knowledge from real-world experiences. Three AGC-sponsored lean-construction continuing education courses also will be offered during the conference: Variation in Production Systems, Pull in Production, and Lean Workstructuring.
