Dream Finders Homes (DFH), the No. 14 company on the 2024 BUILDER 100 list, entered into an agreement to acquire Alliant National Title Insurance Company and a related affiliate.

Longmont, Colorado-based Alliant National is a title insurance underwriter with more than 700 independent agents in 32 states and the District of Columbia. The company says it is the largest independent title underwriter in the country with no direct or affiliated operations.

“This is a strategic acquisition for DFH and allows us to further vertically integrate alongside our existing title insurance agency business while facilitating growth in the title insurance marketplace,” says Dream Finders chairman and CEO Patrick Zalupski. “We are excited to partner with a successful and motivated Alliant National team and believe our home building operations can add meaningfully to the bottom line of Alliant National, which will in turn benefit the bottom line of DFH.”

The closing of the transaction is subject to closing conditions, including insurance regulatory approvals.

“Building on almost 20 years of serving independent title agents, we are thrilled to partner with Dream Finders Homes and envision an exciting future,” says Alliant National president and CEO David Sinclair. “The collaboration of an innovative builder, strong title agency, and the Alliant National underwriting team will promote our long-term success and growth into a national competitor.”

Jacksonville, Florida-based Dream Finders Homes operates in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest in states including Florida, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, Virginia, Maryland, and in Washington, D.C. The company also provides mortgage financing and title services through its wholly owned subsidiaries. According to numbers reported for the 2024 BUILDER 100 list, the company closed 7,314 homes in 2023 and generated revenue of $3.5 billion
