With the mid-term elections around the corner, BIG BUILDER takes a peek at the top 10 builders’ campaign contributions. Most of the red state-based builders remain true to their roots, concentrating their contributions to the Republican Party. However, a few buck the trend. For example, Florida-based Lennar Corp. dug deeper in pockets for the Democratic Party while New Jersey–based Hovnanian Enterprises limited its contributions to only the Republican Party. It’ll be just a matter of days before it’ll be clear whose money was well spent.
