Designers looking to create a cohesive, design-forward look throughout the home have a new option from Kwikset. The lock and hardware manufacturer has introduced Capetown, an elegant arched trim designed to pair with its Sedona lever, Sora knob, and coordinating deadbolt products.
Inspired by traditional architectural details, the oversized trim features graceful curves and a substantial profile that adds character to interior and exterior doors alike. The collection is designed to create a consistent hardware aesthetic from the front entry to bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, and other living spaces.
According to Kwikset, Capetown is particularly well suited for traditional and historic-inspired homes, including colonial, neoclassical, farmhouse, and Mediterranean styles. In addition to its decorative appeal, the larger trim helps conceal paint marks and surface imperfections that may remain after replacing existing hardware.
Available in satin nickel, satin brass, and matte black, the Capetown collection is Grade AAA certified by the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association for security, durability, and finish. Products are designed for DIY installation and fit standard residential doors.
For entry doors, the Capetown 258 deadbolt combines the collection’s classic look with Kwikset’s SmartKey Security technology, allowing homeowners to re-key locks themselves while providing protection against advanced break-in techniques.
