By BUILDER Magazine Staff Builders who install high-efficiency HVAC might get a marketing boost from a recent consumer study. Decision Analyst, an Arlington, Texas, market research firm polled homeowners who had replaced their heating and air-conditioning systems. People who bought super high-efficiency equipment were nearly five times more likely to be extremely satisfied than standard-efficiency purchasers. “For years, manufacturers have pushed high-efficiency equipment because it saves homeowners on their utilities,” says study author Matt Michel. The report might help contractors convince buyers that they will be happier, as well.
