In this video from his YouTube channel "Essential Craftsman," builder Scott Wadsworth discuss how he sets up his tool bags for framing, and why he chooses what he does. He has an interesting discussion about suspenders vs. no suspenders - where to wear them, when to wear a belt and when not to. He also makes an argument for why you should always carry two pencils with you - and shows how to make one of them a lumber crayon on one side. His list of what he carries is intuitive and likely common - but there are a few things that he doesn't carry regularly that you'd think he would (a cats paw, for example). His philosophy is "lighter is better" and "if you don't need it before lunch, don't carry it in your bag in the morning." Check out the video for more insight that only comes from decades of experience, and also to learn what tool he's had since he was 19.
