Sekisui House will donate $500,000 to the American Red Cross to support the relief agency’s efforts in Los Angeles after the devastating wildfires destroyed more than 12,000 homes. The company, which will make the donation through its U.S. subsidiary, Sekisui House US Holdings, said the money is meant to help with immediate relief efforts and long-term humanitarian assistance.

"Our thoughts are with everyone in Los Angeles who continues to be impacted by this disaster,” said Yoshihiro Nakai, CEO of Sekisui House.

The company said the contribution “reflects Sekisui House's unwavering corporate philosophy of ‘love of humanity’ and the belief that every human is precious and irreplaceable.”
