Laura Dwyer became the global innovation leader in February 2018 for DowDuPont, a $1.3 billion material and building science supplier to the construction industry. As innovation leader, Laura is focused on identifying, collaborating and helping to address the biggest opportunities to improve construction globally. Before 2018, she led the Global DuPont™ Building Knowledge Center, an international network of experts who shape insights, create tools, and provide resources to help members of the building industry navigate the changing future. Her 20-year career in the construction industry has spanned sales, marketing communications, channel management and strategic marketing.
Laura also served several years as an executive director for the Energy and Environmental Building Alliance (EEBA) Board of Directors and is on the board of advisors for the Home Innovation Alliance. She is on the board of trustees for NAHB’s Leading Supplier’s Council, where she also supports NAHB’s Professional Women in Building organization. Laura serves on the Board of Trustee for the Home Building Institute and is vice-chair of RESNET's Supplier Advisor Board. She is a multiyear committee member for NAHB’s Construction, Codes and Standards committee and was appointed the NAHB member of the IECC Commercial Energy Code Committee for the 2012/2013 Code Development Cycle.
Laura earned her Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from North Carolina State University and her MBA from the University of Delaware.
