Under Cohlan’s leadership, the lifestyle brand inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer Jimmy Buffett has brought its restaurant and resort know-how to the single-family housing industry. The company has partnered with Minto Communities on two 55-plus communities in the southeast. The first, Latitude Margaritaville in Daytona Beach, Fla., broke ground in March and will include more than 3,000 homes with a proposed future expansion of up to 7,000 homes. The companies announced Latitude Margaritaville Hilton Head (in South Carolina) in May, with plans for 3,000-plus homes.
