Fischer Homes will achieve a major milestone in 2022 by constructing three homes in one year for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway program, which benefits St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The three houses Fischer Homes will complete this year are part of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway campaigns in Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Louisville, Kentucky, and are expected to raise $5 million in combined ticket sales.
“Building better communities is part of our mission, and there is no better avenue to do this than the lifesaving mission of St. Jude,” says Steve Whaley, director of marketing at Fischer Homes. “We were able to grow our St. Jude efforts from humble beginnings to what they are today thanks to the support of our incredible trade partners and vendors in Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Louisville, our media partners, and the public. Together our fight against childhood cancer continues.”
Since 2007, Fischer Homes has completed 16 St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway houses. In total, Fischer Homes and Payne Family Homes in St. Louis, whose assets were acquired by Fischer Homes in 2021, have raised more than $24 million for St. Jude.
“Fischer Homes will accomplish an incredible feat in 2022: completing and donating three homes to the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway,” says Steve Froehlich, chief revenue officer of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “The generosity of Fischer Homes makes a difference for children everywhere by helping fund the $11.5 billion, six-year St. Jude strategic plan that triples global investments to impact more of the 400,000 kids around the world with cancer each year.”
Construction is underway on the 2022 Cincinnati St. Jude Dream Home in Batavia, Ohio, at Derby Place in Lexington Run. Tickets for the Cincinnati giveaway will go on sale April 8, and the winner of the house, valued at $530,000, will be announced June 24.
A groundbreaking ceremony took place in February at the St. Louis St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway lot in Streets of Caledonia, a Fischer Homes housing development in O’Fallon, Missouri. Tickets for the 2022 St. Louis giveaway go on sale June 9, and the grand-prize winner of that house, valued at $565,000, will be announced Aug. 18.
Construction will begin soon on the 2022 Louisville St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway house in Bluegrass Meadows, a new Fischer Homes community in Mt. Washington, Kentucky. There will be 7,000 raffle tickets for sale, starting July 14, and the house will be given away on Oct. 6.
