To increase productivity in the construction industry, Saurabh Ladha cofounded Doxel to help builders keep their more complex projects on schedule and budget. The construction management tool is able to identify issues in real time, track progress, and inspect quality by using a combination of artificial intelligence and autonomous robots.

The robots survey sites every day and capture high-definition imagery and laser scans at all stages of construction. From mechanical and electrical systems to plumbing, the technology can measure installed quantities for thousands of line items and calculate earned value. Those numbers are then cross-referenced with the project’s estimate to keep numbers close to budget. Doxel even detects model-to-field errors instantly and links to the project’s scheduled timeline. The integrated cloud software also delivers updated numbers and graphs on a project’s performance and sends alerts to mobile devices when a crew falls behind.
