FROM IN SITU STUDIO:
The front of the house presents a traditional image and is defined by a deep wrapping porch. The porch wraps around the western and southern elevations, allowing the main living spaces to spill into the yard. The south side opens to a private yard carved from the trees, and affords an understanding of how the house cascades down the slope.
