This tucked-away, hard-working room is a the perfect chance to use interesting materials, bold colors, and unusual fixtures. It’s just the place for finishings that might be overkill in a larger space or impractical in a bath that sees heavy use. The Baileyana powder room occupies its 32 square feet with an accomplished mix of elements—hexagonal wall tile, oval stone sink, walnut cabinets, simple wall fixtures--and does so with a sense of fun, riffing on the Mediterranean architectural style of the house.
