In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the growing need for personal protective wear on jobsites, HexArmor has converted and expanded its Michigan production facilities to begin making a new line of disposable and fluid-resistant face shields and goggles, which are now in stock and ready to ship.
The 17-12050 Fluid-Resistant Full Face Protector, developed based on consumer requests, is intended as a ‘first line of defense’ against airborne fluids when used in conjunction with an appropriate mask. The protector is interally tested to meet D3 liquid splash protection and ANSI/ISEA standards, as well as the Z87.1-205 standard for impact, optical clarity and haze. The protector is designed to quickly don and remove, and may help protect against incidental face touching, according to the manufacturer.
The 12-50001-00 Fluid-Resistant Disposable Goggle, like the face protector, is designed to block liquid splash or dust penetration, and is internally tested to D3, ANSI and Z87.1-2015 standards. The goggle provides a wide field of vision, is easy to don and remove, and is equipped with an anti-fog coating.
The full face protectors are available in cases of 216, and goggles in cases of 84. The manufacturer notes the masks are not to be used as protection against flames or sparks, and that the goggles are not designed to fit over prescription glasses. hexarmor.com
