Ply Gem Windows has released the MIRA Premium Impact Series windows and the EuroSeries patio doors. Ply Gem says the MIRA series is designed to stand up to the strongest weather conditions. The double-hung windows feature tilt-in sashes, weatherstripping, and a 14-degree sloped sill. Ply Gem says the MIRA Impact Series meets both U.S. Zone 2 and 3 requirements, while the EuroSeries vinyl door meets impact protection requirements and features a seamless gliding system.
Tando Signature Stain has added a graphite color option to its cladding line. Manufactured by Derby Building Products, the composite cladding is designed to resist moisture damage, making it suitable for roofline or ground applications, according to the company. Derby says the graphite color offers the authenticity of stained wood without the same maintenance and upkeep.
AZEK Building Products has introduced its DrySpace system in white. It’s meant to prevent mold and moisture from affecting spaces beneath decks. Made of solid extruded vinyl, DrySpace is an under-deck system that captures and diverts water after it passes between deck boards. It can be installed with new decks or retrofitted under existing decks.
ZipWall’s MagStrip Dust Barrier Fastener allows contractors working in locations with drop ceilings to keep a dust barrier between poles. The MagStrip can create temporary barriers up to 20 feet and prevent dust from spilling out of the work area. ZipWall says MagStrip is easier to set up, safer, and more time efficient than conventional dust barrier methods.
JELD-WEN’s Birkdale is a Shaker-style interior door developed for both residential and commercial use. The Birkdale’s three equal– flat-panel design meets consumer demand for a modern wood-door look with the low maintenance of a molded door, according to JELD-WEN. The Birkdale door is offered in three heights and features recessed panels with nonprofiled sticking.
Versatex Building Products has partnered with Aqua-DIY to create the Aqua-DIY D100 PVC coating system, designed to allow wood-grain finishes and dark color treatments to resist heat. The maintenance-free, waterproof coating incorporates heat-reflective pigments and a water-based vehicle that bonds with PVC to prevent chipping and peeling.
