Allied Air Enterprises, a company under Lennox International, is rolling out a new packaged furnace system specifically designed to meet the needs of the California market. The Ultra Low NOx PRPGN14 packaged gas heating and electric cooling product delivers even lower NOx emissions than standard low NOx models at 14 ng/J, in line with the state’s regulations.

The PRPGN14 operates at 14 SEER, 11 EER, and 81% AFUE. The new base rail design and pre-bent duct connections enable easier handling in downflow applications, and the improved water management system is designed to ensure rainwater is shed through the base. A constant torque blower motor provides steady airflow and may increase system efficiency under the right conditions.

“Our new PRPGN14 packaged units are not only Ultra Low NOx compliant, they now ship convertible-ready for downflow and horizontal applications and feature a new base rail to make installation easier,” says Trent Davis, director of marketing for Allied Air Enterprises. “They also feature a new burner section that utilizes a unique pre-mix fuel process to help deliver a cleaner burn and lower emissions than previous models. It’s exciting technology, and we’re happy to bring these new weatherized furnaces to our distributor and dealer partners and have them join our existing lineup of Ultra Low NOx furnaces currently available in California.”

The furnace is available in California under the Armstrong Air, AirEase, Ducane, Concord, and Allied brands starting Oct. 1. alliedair.com
