Carrier has unveiled two new residential HVAC systems: the Infinity 26 Air Conditioner and Infinity 24 Heat Pump, both featuring the manufacturer’s Greenspeed intelligence function.
For most applications, the highly-energy-efficient Infinity 26 offers a SEER rating of up to 26.0, and an EER of up to 16.5. The Infinity 24 offers a SEER of up to 24.0, an EER of up to 15.0, and an HSPF rating of up to 13.0. The manufacturer estimates that compared to a standard efficiency conditioner, a 3-ton Infinity 26 model could save homeowners up to $129 a year in cooling costs. By the same estimate, compared to a standard efficiency heat pump, the Infinity 24 could save homeowners $108 per year in cooling and up to $198 in heating.
Both products produce sound levels as low as 51 decibels, or quieter than a normal conversation, according to the manufacturer. The Greenspeed intelligence function provides steady and consistent temperature performance, removes excess humidity, and may influence energy savings, according to the manufacturer.
“We’re proud to introduce the Infinity 26 and Infinity 24 with Greenspeed Intelligence as this is one of our most ambitious projects to date,” says Justin Keppy, president, HVAC-Residential, Carrier. “These products provide industry-leading innovations and we’re confident that homeowners will appreciate the enhanced features and benefits.”
Both the Infinity 24 and 26 can operate at full power in temperatures up to 125 degrees Fahrenheit, and the Infinity 24 offers heating at full power down to -15 degrees Fahrenheit.
For a limited time, Carrier will include an Infinity Air Purifier with each purchase of an Infinity 26 Air Conditioner or Infinity 24 Heat Pump. The Infinity air purifier uses the manufacturer’s Caprtures & Kills technology to filter up to 95% of particulate matter from the air – including pollen, animal dander, and bacteria – and an electrical charge to kill or inactivate up to 99% of germs and viruses on its filter. carrier.com
