Bosch Thermotechnology has introduced an Inverter Ducted Package (IDP) air-source heat pump system to its heating and cooling product catalog. The unit provides the components and function of its existing Inverted Ducted Split air-source heat pump system in a single cabinet, made for streamlined residential or light commercial use.
“The release of the Inverter Ducted Packaged system combines Bosch’s top air-source heat pump features with a convenient single cabinet design for multiple installation options,” says Katie Woodling, product manager at Bosch Thermotechnology. “Bosch is excited to continue expanding its air-conditioning product lineup, and making advancements that fit our customers’ needs.”
The IDP features a 19 SEER rating, 12.5 EER rating and 10 HSPF rating. Its two-way design allows for both horizontal and down flow installations, and it is compatible with most standard 24 VAC heat pump thermostats. It meets requirements for ENERGY STAR certification, and will comply with the Department of Energy’s consumer central air conditioner and heat pump direct final rule that will take effect in 2023.
Its two-stage electronically communicated motor x13 blower provides dehumidification and quiet operation, and a fully modulating inverter drive matches the heating or cooling load for enhanced efficiency. The inverter compressor operates from 25% to 110% capacity, with modulation in 1% increments. boschheatingandcooling.com
