From cameras designed to watch aging loved ones to video security disguised as a smart lock, this year’s smart-home cameras at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) take security to the next level. CNET’s technology team rounded up some of their finds from the Las Vegas-based event. Check out the products below.

Alarm.com Wellcam
Alarm.com's Wellcam home security camera is designed to help caregivers, family and friends watch over aging loved ones remotely. The Wellcam has a 180-degree lens, two-way audio and 1080p HD resolution. Press the "call-out button" on the Wellcam to ask for help without a phone.

Arlo Ultra 4K Outdoor Camera
Arlo introduced its Ultra cam back in November, but the company announced at CES 2019 that the Ultra is now available for purchase.

Elecpro US:E Smart Lock
Elecpro's US:E Smart Lock isn't like your standard deadbolt. The US:E has a built-in camera with facial recognition. The idea is that you'd create a database of familiar faces -- friends, family, caregivers -- and the lock could scan their face and then unlock the door.

LifeShield Doorbell Camera
LifeShield's Doorbell Camera has 1080p HD resolution, night vision, two-way audio, motion detection and cloud storage. It can be hardwired or run via battery. It should be available starting in the second quarter of this year.

Maximus Answer
The Maximus Answer is a bit different than the other smart doorbells we've come across. It actually has two built-in cameras -- rather than just one. Use the front-facing camera to see who's at the door and the bottom-mounted camera to keep an eye on packages.

Ring Door View Cam
The Door View Cam is Ring's latest smart buzzer. Rather than replacing an existing hardwired doorbell, the Door View Cam replaces an existing peephole.
