Wilsonart has added new Quartz and Solid Surface Collections to its lineup of surfacing options, with six new Quartz designs and ten new Solid Surface colors.
Both the Quartz and Solid Surface collections are stain-resistant, non-porous, food-safe, and GREENGUARD Gold certified for low emissions. The Quartz collection is made of up to 93% natural stone, and the Solid Surface collection is made from acrylic resins and fire-retardant fillers.
The six new tones in Wilsonart’s 2019 Quartz collection include two whites, Winter’s Veil and Arktos; three greys, Upper Wolfjaw, Grayton Beach and Quarry Cliff; and Enchanted Rock, charcoal-black with white veins. Each part of the collection’s neutral color range is inspired by patterns and features found in nature. According to the manufacturer, Grayton Beach’s particulates resemble white sand from Florida State Park, and Upper Wolfjaw reflects the natural tones found in the Adirondacks.
“Whether in the workplace or in the home, increased stressors and overstimulation have led us to seek wellness solutions,” says Natalia Smith, product design manager at Wilsonart. “The beauty of the wellness trend is that it transcends all segments. Wellness has proliferated in a number of flexible and multi-functional spaces where we can work, read or relax. Not surprisingly, nature is often the key inspiration of these spaces.”
The 2019 Solid Surface Collection introduces ten neutral tones in shades of white, grey, and taupe: Grey Moonstone, Powder White, Golden Sail, Whisper White, Gulfcoast, Peace Grey, Beachfront, Classic Travertine, Beige Travertine, and Iron Falls.
The first five colors in the list are translucent, and may be backlit for dramatic effect. Wilsonart recommends their use as an accent wall or unique way-finding feature.
“From serene to statement, Wilsonart’s new Solid Surface Collection gives a sense of the fresh yet familiar,” Smith says. “The beautiful neutrals offer a calming and soothing effect, while the movement designs draw on the dynamic energy of nature.”
Available to coordinate with the Wilsonart Solid Surface Collection are Wilsonart’s Solid Surface Sinks, which feature four new and 15 re-designed sinks this year. The sinks are resistant to heat, stains, bacteria, and thermal shock. A number of shapes, sizes, and designs are available, including ADA compliant models. wilsonart.com
