Silestone by Cosentino has launched its second new series following the company’s recent rebranding—the Ethereal collection, fabricated using the company’s new HybriQ+ process.
All four colorways offer fine, bold veining lines against a white background, inspired by patterns cast in the daytime sky, according to the manufacturer. Ethereal Dusk incorporates a bluish tone, while Ethereal Haze incorporates grays, Ethereal Glow combines golden and gray veining, and Ethereal Noctis combines gray and black.
“The Ethereal Collection celebrates nature through both its aesthetic and new industry-transforming sustainable manufacturing practices,” says Eduardo Cosentino, CEO of Cosentino North America and executive vice president of global sales. “It showcases the metamorphosis of the Silestone brand and its future, while embodying our strategic response as an industry leader to the global design world’s demands for more sustainable products—without compromising on design or performance.”
The HybriQ+ process involves a new formulation for quartz surfaces, made from a mix of minerals and recycled materials and fabricated with 99% recycled water, 100% renewable electric energy, and a minimum of 20% recycled raw materials.
The new process significantly reduces the amount of crystalline silica in the surface composite and creates zero water discharge into local water sources. In terms of product performance, the new surfaces offer stain, acid, scratch, and shock-resistance, as well as enhanced depth and translucency. cosentino.com
