Dublin residential architecture

In June I spent some time in Dublin, Ireland, where I noticed a typically European compatibility between old and new buildings. I thought the juxtaposition of historic and modern architecture seemed natural and comfortable, rather than jarring or forced. Being particularly interested in residential design, I noticed many good-looking, newish multifamily buildings (probably constructed during the country’s economic boom in the years up to 2008) that reminded me of projects I’ve seen on the West Coast of the United States. Many of them were mixed-use, and looked like places I’d like to live. I’ve enclosed a photo of a typical example.
