Corian Design, a division of DuPont Water & Protection, has added seven new colors to its Corian Solid Surface portfolio. The colors are divided into two collections, Carrara (Carrara Crema and Carrara Lino) and Artista (Artista Beige, Artista Dust, Artista Gray, and Artista Canvas), plus a standalone color, Sparkling Granita.
The Corian Solid Surface material can be fabricated into virtually any design with standard woodworking tools, according to the manufacturer. It can be thermoformed into seamless designs, and is renewable and repairable on-site. The material can be used for wall features, countertops, vanity tubs, and tub/shower walls, among other applications.
“With the modern needs of residential and commercial spaces continuously in flux, designs are expected to appeal to both beauty and durability,” says Katie Congress, commercial marketing leader for Corian Design. “The new colors of Corian Solid Surface encompass high performance and high-level beauty, providing solutions for any of your interior design needs.”
The Carrara surfaces are inspired by the look of marble stone; Carrara Lino features gray veins on a white backdrop, while Carrara Crema offers monochromatic veins on a beige background. Artista contributes complex patterns and strong veining applications, including the swirling look of Artista Dust, while Sparkling Granita features translucent, sparkling particles on a white surface.
