Deckorators has added a new line of pre-assembled aluminum decking in welded panels—ALX Contemporary—to its lineup of deck railing products, as well as new cable rail kits and an aluminum secondary handrail.
The Deckorators ALX Contemporary series offers a sleek, modern look, with a 2-inch wide rectangle top rail profile and square balusters. It is available in 36- and 42-inch heights and 6- and 8-foot on-center lengths when installed between 2 ½ inch posts. Stair rail panels and two-piece post trim are also available.
The panels feature a thick powder-coat finish that resists scratching or corrosion, available in four colors: textured black, textured white, weathered brown, and bronze—as well as brushed titanium, available on panels that are punched instead of welded.
According to the manufacturer, the pre-assembled system saves time and effort in the installation process, while the welded fasteners add strength and rigidity. “Our Deckorators Certified Pro partners told us there was a need in the market for pre-assembled aluminum railing with more rigidity and strength,” says Chris Camfferman, managing director of marketing for Deckorators. “ALX Contemporary pre-assembled welded aluminum railing meets that need while cutting installation time and giving homeowners the sleek, simple appearance they want.”
The ALX Contemporary cable railing kits consist of heavy-gauge aluminum components in a weathered brown, bronze, textured white, or textured black powder coat finish. Its 316 stainless steel cable and hardware kits are available in five- to 50-foot lengths with anodized aluminum cable spacers.
The Deckorators aluminum secondary handrail is ADA-compliant, made from heavy-gauge steel, and available in the same powder coat finishes.
