According to the results of the 2016 Houzz Kitchen Trends Study, four-fifths of kitchen renovation projects call for LED lighting, while 74% incorporate under-cabinet lighting, 72% include recessed lighting, and 19% add in-cabinet lighting. The fixtures below demonstrate the wide variety of LED lighting options available - from kitchen accents to energy-saving full-room illumination.

Progress Lighting - LED Undercabinet

Progress Lighting’s LED Undercabinet is a series of direct wire and linkable lights with an aluminum frame, a tempered micro-prismatic glass lens and keyhole slots on the surface for mounting. They are available in two finishes, white and antique bronze, and 9-inch, 12-inch, and 18-inch P7005. The fixture’s long-life LEDs provide 70% lumen maintenance over 35,000 hours, and its 120V integral electronic driver is rated for an entire span of continuous use.

Kichler – LED Horizon

Kichler’s Horizon fixture is an LED-lit alternative to traditional recessed can fixtures. At only 0.5” wide, the light sits nearly flush to its mounted surface. It is designed to snap into either a 4” octagon or a 4” square (2-1/8” min depth) ceiling junction box, providing a faster installation and greater placement flexibility.

The light is made from die-cast aluminum with a powder coat white finish. It is Energy Star rated and wet-rated for indoor use, and uses 12.5W for 850 lumens of output.

Artemide - Una Pro

The Una Pro, designed for Artemide by Carlotta de Bevilacqua, covers a wide range of LED lighting arrangements, including surface lights, recessed lights, and flexible lighting. The recessed variety, also known as Una Pro 75, is designed to blend into its environment, allowing its direct lighting diffusion to speak for itself.

Una Pro is available as a single diffuser or in single, double, triple, and square arrangements, with a choice of black or white finishes.

Nora Bravo Frost

Nora Lighting’s trim, shallow Bravo Frost LED lighting strip is ideal for under-cabinet use over polished surfaces. Its frosted lens eliminates diode images, and its symmetrical internal reflectors produce broad even lighting at just 7W per foot. Nora’s LED technology prevents UV and infrared ray projection and minimizes forward heat. The Bravo Frost is available with a bronze or a white finish in four lengths: 12”, 18”, 24” and 32”. It is Title 24 compliant and cULus listed.

Element - Reflections LED Downlight

Tech Lighting aims to put a new spin on recessed lighting design. The Element Reflections LED downlight is available in a choice of five glass domes designs, which serve as reflectors for an interior ring of upward-firing LED lights. Each of the embossed design details creates an interplay of light and shadow, ideal for mood lighting settings.

The fixture is available in 2700K, 3000K, or 3500K color temperatures, or with dimming from 3000K to 1800K.

WAC Lighting – DUO AC LED Light Bar With Color Option

WAC Lighting’s DUO AC 120V LED Light Bar with Color Option uses a nearly 100% efficient reflector to create an evenly-distributed LED output ideal for sensitive display spaces. Users can change the Light Bar’s color temperature from 2700K to 3000K and back again. With an electronic low voltage dimmer or TRIAC dimmer, the light dims smoothly and continuously, with uniform illumination and minimal glare.

The Light Bar is available in five sizes. Its extruded aluminum casing is available in bronze, brushed aluminum, and white finishes.
