Leviton unveiled its next-generation Leviton Load Center in February at the February at the 2019 International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas, where it was named the Best Home Technology Product at the Best of IBS Awards.
The new Leviton Load Center is equipped with intelligent circuit breakers, which communicate with the panel’s Wi-Fi or Ethernet-enabled data hub. The hub securely transmits the circuit breaker data to the homeowner’s router, as well as the Leviton cloud.
Using the My Leviton App on any smart device, homeowners and contractors can monitor a building’s electricity usage per branch circuit or appliance, view usage trends, estimate an electric bill, monitor firmware updates for the smart circuit breakers, and remotely turn off branch circuit breakers. Users can also set up notification alerts for when and why a circuit breaker has tripped, or if a given appliance is on or off for a user-defined length of time.
The circuit breakers are also equipped with patented GFCI lockout technology, which exceeds present UL safety standards.
