The LINEAR hardware series, the first of Buster + Punch’s ‘new look’ collections for 2020, introduces two new hardware styles – the L-Bar and Precious Bar – to the manufacturer’s existing lineup, as well as new burnt steel and gun metal finishes.
For this new collection, Buster + Punch is replacing its signature cross-knurling details and coin screws with a new design signature - a linear knurl pattern and machined torx screws.
“Linear marks the next chapter in our exciting story as we continue to blur the lines between home and fashion,” said Massimo Buster Minale, Buster + Punch founder and creative director. “The Linear collection is a forward-thinking range of precision hardware that would work just as well on your bedside cabinet as it would on your favorite handbag.”
The burnt steel finish mimics the oxide pattern on exhaust pipes, which can turn a permanent blue, yellow, or purple under excessive heat. When applied to stainless steel, the effect creates a gradient of color from blue, to purple, to red, to yellow. The vertically-oriented L-Bar features a linear knurl pattern on the bottom, a precision-milled stalk at the top, and a small oval metal disc as a backplate.
The Precious Bar incorporates two vertical machined-metal door pulls with holes at the top, plus a solid metal horizontal fixing bar with a linear knurl pattern. The bar is fixed to one of the pulls with an elegant chain, and may be threaded through the pulls and fixed in place with a solid metal padlock, included with the kit. (The Precious Bar is not meant as a high-security lock.)
The LINEAR series also includes furniture knobs and pull bars, and all products will be available in steel, brass or black finishes. Each piece is diamond-milled from solid materials. busterandpunch.us
