Technical Olympic USA has launched Trophy Homes, a new national brand of housing separate from the current brands that focus on move-up buyers. The newly created division will target first-time and first move-up buyers. The company has named Don Barrineau as the Houston division president in charge of launching the brand.
After announcing the establishment of a new Inland Empire division, Barratt American Homes named Lou Ochoa general manager of the new division. Ochoa has headed Barratt projects, including Avalon's entry-priced neighborhoods and ultra-luxury communities in Del Mar and Rancho Santa Fe.
Pulte Homes has created a core building services team. Cristopher Cash has been promoted to national vice president of construction and Sean Degen has been promoted to vice president of architectural services. The company also announced that Erik Pekarski has been promoted to national vice president of customer relations, a new position within the organization. And finally, Reginald McCoy has been hired as the new national vice president of supply chain. These four individuals, who form the core of Pulte's critical building services team, report directly to Steven Petruska, executive vice president and COO.
Jim Bizzelle has been named vice president of community development for Pardee Homes' Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Formerly, Bizzelle served as director of community development. Bizzelle joined Pardee in 1989 as a cost accountant. In related news, Pardee has promoted Amy Glad to vice president of governmental affairs. Before joining Pardee, Glad served as executive director of the Southern division of the Home Builder's Association of Northern California.
Beazer Homes has named Brian Garbacz land acquisition manager for its Jacksonville division. Prior to joining Beazer, Garbacz was the manager of multiple east coast properties for Olson and Associates of Northwest Florida.
