In response to the need for products that reduce the spread of germs on surfaces, American Standard has added a touchless option for its Cadet flushing system with the launch of the new Cadet Touchless Flush Toilet.
Each toilet is paired with a motion-activated touchless sensor module that can be installed in any convenient location, such as the wall or toilet tank. A push-button manual flush option is also available for continual operation.
“We are always looking for ways to improve life in the heart of the home, and, given the consumer demand for products with touchless operation, broadening our range of touchless products to offer an option in toilets was an essential next step,” says Gene Barbato, leader of the American Standard brand. “The Cadet Touchless Flush Toilet pairs touchless technology with the proven flushing performance of our popular Cadet model, providing a product that offers reliability, a competitive price point, and peace of mind in one of the home’s most high-traffic spaces.”
The toilet’s WaterSense-certified flushing system uses 20% less water than regular flushing systems, according to the manufacturer, at 1.28 gallons per flush. The EverClean toilet surface is made to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew, and the slab-sided bowl design is designed for easier cleaning. Both exposed and concealed trap designs are available.
The Cadet Touchless Flush Toilet is priced at $505. Touchless kitchen and bath faucets are also available from American Standard. americanstandard.com
