Lennox
The Lennox S40 Smart Thermostat and accessories, including the Smart Air Quality Monitor and the Smart Room Sensor, work together to help achieve ideal indoor air quality inside homes. The thermostat functions as the command center of the system. The air quality monitor detects and tracks particulates, carbon dioxide, and volatile organic compounds, and triggers the system to cycle and clean the air when poor quality is detected. Gold Heat has created a customized floor heating solution that can be used with ceramic, porcelain, marble, and natural stone flooring. Engineered to take the prep labor out of the installation process, the electric radiant floor heating system is prewired and preterminated. A mat folds out like a tablecloth, hugs every nook of the room, and fits around fixed features like kitchen islands and bathroom toilets, says the manufacturer. Rinnai
Rinnai recently introduced a revamped line of easy-to-install, advanced noncondensing tankless water heaters. The RE Series features a built-in pump and the manufacturer’s Smart-Circ Intelligent Recirculation. This technology learns a user’s hot water usage patterns over seven days, then schedules the built-in pump and times recirculation patterns accordingly. Users enjoy hot water during regular demand periods while saving energy and money. SPAN
The new SPAN Drive electric vehicle (EV) charging station pairs with the manufacturer’s smart electrical panel to charge homeowners’ electric cars while managing their home electrical load. The system charges at a maximum power of 11.52 kilowatts, is compatible with all EVs, and is available in all 50 states. It can charge at the maximum speed—typically 48 amps for most EVs—or intelligently reduce charging speed based on power usage in the rest of the house. Rheem
With the goal to increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions, Rheem launched its new Endeavor line of gas furnaces, air handlers, split and packaged air conditioners, split and packaged heat pumps, and packaged gas electric units. According to the manufacturer, this line is fully compliant with the 2023 Department of Energy regulations and was designed to be even smarter and more compact. The company is also vigilant about additional regulation changes coming in 2025, and it is working to ensure the Endeavor line will be ready to meet those standards as well. rheem.com
Leviton
The Decora Edge line of wiring devices streamlines installation by enabling users to simply push stripped 12- or 14-gauge electrical building wire into a termination port, and close a lever that clicks into place. The line consists of a single pole switch, a three-way switch, and a 15-amp, tamper-resistant duplex outlet. The product’s installation features include color-coded lever terminals, including the ground terminal, a larger strap with a unique tongue-and-groove alignment for quicker trim-out on multigang installations, and no exposed metal parts for added safety. leviton.com
