Hansgrohe’s PowderRain shower spray, newly available on a range of hansgrohe’s Raindance showerheads, is designed to produce a spray of “micro-fine” water droplets that produce a powder-like sensation on the skin.
Unlike conventional showers, which include only one spray outlet per nozzle, PowderRain showerheads incorporate multiple fine openings in each nozzle. The result is a spray of light, “micro-fine” droplets that fall gently on the skin without bouncing off. According to Hansgrohe, this reduces splashing, retains warmth on the skin, and envelops the body with a powder-like sensation.
“When showering, water should fall on the body—and nowhere else,” Derek Taylor, Product Manager - Showering, explains. “That’s where PowderRain spray comes into play. The innovation is in every single nozzle of the shower face. Each has been arranged precisely on the spray disc in order to deliver a voluminous, drenching spray, while still operating at a reduced flow rate. The thousands of fine water droplets ‘cocoon’ the body for the ultimate relaxing shower experience.”
The spray is currently available on the Raindance S 240 with PowderRain Showerhead, Raindance S 180 with PowderRain Showerhead, and Raindance Select S 120 with PowderRain Handshower, with more options to come available soon.
The Raindance S 180 P showerhead is available in 1.75 or 2.0 GPM models, the Raindance S 240 P showerhead has a flow rate of 2.5 GPM, and the Raindance Select S 120 P Handshower is available in 1.75, 2.0, and 2.5 GPM models. All are available in chrome and brushed nickel finishes, and are engineered to meet German standards for quiet acoustic performance.
