Starting February 1st, Milwaukee Tool will offer new sets of Extreme Metal Band Saw Blades, as well as a Compact Band Saw Cover and Deep Cut Band Saw Cover. According to the manufacturer, the new blades use a combination of enhanced steel and a variable TPI tooth design to make faster cuts in thin and thick metals and last up to three times as long as comparable blades.
The blades are available in Thin Metal and Thick Metal variations, and all blades are versatile for both thin and thick metals. The Thick Metal Blade (8/10 TPI) is optimized for thick/extreme metals, including black pipe and angle iron, while the Thin Metal Blade (12/14 TPI) is optimized for thin/extreme metals such as unistrut or EMT conduit. The blades’ variable-pitched tooth design enables a longer blade life in harder materials, including cast iron and stainless steel.
Both the thin and thick metal Extreme Metal Band Saw Blades are available in Deep Cut or Compact saw sizes in packs of three, 25, or 100. The thin metal blades are also available in a Sub-Compact saw size in packs of three.
The new Compact Band Saw Cover and Deep Cut Band Saw Covers include the manufacturer’s Jobsite Armor, providing protection against drops and debris using a proprietary composite and crush zone barriers. The covers may be installed and removed without additional tools. Each cover is priced at $50.
