    Trend Lines: What's New

Designed around the concept of chromatherapy, Whitehaus Collection's new Nymphaea lavatory basin changes color with the temperature of water. The clear crystal glass basin is available in six embossed patterns. Each color in the shifting repertoire has a unique chromatherapeutic connotation: Blue represents relaxation; purple conveys tranquility; green promotes stability and harmony; yellow signifies hope; orange fuels creativity and ambition; and red stimulates and energizes. Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) produce the color changes in response to water temperature. The basin requires a 5-volt outlet or transformer connection for its light source, but consumes minimal energy, says the maker. The LEDs are guaranteed for the life of the basin.
