Public Growth

Hovnanian Enterprises just keeps growing its portfolio of builders. In November, the N.J.-based public builder purchased the assets of Windward Homes, a Tampa, Fla., builder that delivered 663 homes for $95 million in revenue in 2002. Terms were not disclosed for the cash-and-stock deal.

Stanley Works announced the long-expected sale of its entry-door business, to Masonite International, which paid $160 million in cash for the business.
