Lennar, the second largest company on the 2024 Builder 100 list, expanded its footprint into new markets in five states through the acquisition of Fayetteville, Arkansas-based Rausch Coleman Homes.

Lennar will acquire Rausch Coleman’s home building operations, which expects to deliver approximately 5,000 homes with an average sales price of $230,000 in calendar year 2024. Rausch Coleman is the 21st ranked company on the 2024 Builder 100 list and reported 4,437 closings in 2023.

In connection with Lennar’s land light strategy, the home builder intends to assign the purchase of, and option, all of Rausch Coleman’s land assets with a third party.

With this acquisition, Lennar will expand its footprint into new markets in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Kansas and Missouri. The acquisition will bolster Lennar’s existing footprint in Houston; San Antonio; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Huntsville, Alabama; and northwest Florida.

The acquisition will add to Lennar’s community count and deliveries which are part of its 2025 growth target. The home builder expects the deal to be completed in its first quarter of 2025.

The acquisition is Lennar’s second in the latter months of 2024, following the home builder’s acquisition of Atlanta-based builder-developer WCH Homes. The acquisition of WCH Homes included a development partnership for delivery of nearly 2,00 lots and several hundred finished home sites.
