At the 2006 Hearthstone Builder Humanitarian Award ceremony, held in Orlando during the NAHB’s annual International Builders’ Show, four builders were honored for their commitment to public service. However, for the first time, this year’s event applauded an entire company rather than an individual for its humanitarian focus. Judges recognized all Pardee Homes’ employees for outstanding philanthropy by a home building company.
Other winners included Ralph Drees, chairman of Kentucky-based Drees Co.; David Showers, president of Ohio-based Strausser Investment; and J. Ronald Terwillinger, CEO and president of Atlanta-based Trammel Crow Residential.
