Founded in 1956, Nichiha Japan first began operations as a hardboard manufacturer, supplying dashboard and other components for the automobile industry. The company’s immediate success was due in part by superior manufacturing technology and a constant drive for innovation. Although fiber cement was in its infancy, Nichiha’s leadership was energized by its seemingly limitless potential. That drive led to the eventual development of fiber cement cladding; a category that would expand to include over 800 commercial and residential variations produced in 12 manufacturing facilities worldwide including a 300,000 square foot, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Macon, GA.

Our dominance in the fiber cement category has enabled us to focus on exploring just how far we take the material. Although we already deliver high performance fiber cement product in more styles and textures than anybody else, we’re far from done. We are constantly developing new products and tweaking the products we already have. We’re never satisfied because we know there’s a world of untapped possibilities.
