KB This Weekend Opens Communities in East Bay, Denver

Homes in Compass in Hayward will start in the low $700Ks and those in Highland Villas in South Aurora will start in the mid $300,000s.

KB Home, Los Angeles (NYSE: KBH) on Friday announced the grand opening of two communities. Compass, the home builder’s latest East Bay new home community in Hayward and Highland Villas in South Aurora, Colorado.

The five three-story floor plans offered at Compass can include up to 2,022 square feet of living space, with as many as four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths along with two-car garages. Priced from the low-$700,000s, the single-family homes and duets at Compass feature modern home designs and are distinguished by open layouts, spacious kitchens, outdoor patios and included solar systems.

Compass is close to Interstates 880 and 580 and State Route 92, as well as to BART(R) and Amtrak(R) stations for easy travel throughout the Bay Area. Hayward is home to top employers, such as California State University, East Bay, Hayward Unified School District and Kaiser Permanente(R). In addition, the nearby San Mateo-Hayward Bridge links the area to several prominent technology and advanced manufacturing firms in the Silicon Valley and the peninsula communities of San Mateo, Redwood City and Palo Alto.

Residents can enjoy Hayward’s 3,000 acres of parks and open space, including 20 miles of running and hiking trails. Hayward also boasts California’s oldest Japanese garden, a championship golf course and beautiful vistas from the hills to the shoreline. Shopping and restaurants are available to Compass homeowners in Downtown Hayward.

Further east, KB is opening Highland Villas, the builder’s newest community in South Aurora, Colorado.

KB Home plans to construct 140 paired homes at Highland Villas, with five two-story floor plans available ranging in size from 1,430 to 1,883 square feet. Featuring up to five bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, two-car garages, private side yards, and a finished basement option, these low-maintenance paired homes are priced starting in the mid-$300,000s.

Residents at Highland Villas can enjoy low-maintenance living and easy access to E-470 (Express Toll 470), Interstate 70, Highway 83, and East Arapahoe Road. The community’s grand opening celebration will take place Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

Located near the E-470 Gartrell Road exit, Highland Villas is just a short drive from Denver International Airport, Southlands Shopping Center, and the Denver Tech Center. Major employment centers as well as to prime shopping, dining, entertainment, and outdoor recreation are nearby. Nearby Red-tailed Hawk Park features 35-acres of playground, sport courts and fields, a water spray-ground, and a wetland boardwalk. Cherry Creek State Park provides ample opportunity for camping, hiking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing, and features a total of 35 miles of multi-use and dog-friendly trails. Aurora Reservoir is popular for fishing. Golfers can take advantage of the links at the neighboring Aurora Hillsand Saddle Rock golf courses, and school-aged children can attend the highly-regarded Cherry Creek Schools.
